Blue Waters Perth Western Australia

Welcome to Blue Waters - a 1950s art deco mansion in Perth, Western Australia

Named after its sweeping river views, Blue Waters is one of the best known and best loved private homes in the State.  A national sensation at the time of construction, its striking Miami inspired design remains to this day a reference design in books on Australian architecture.  Late in 2010 when “The West Australian” newspaper published a story on Blue Waters on the website and in print, it was the most read article of the day.

Before “Mad Men”  there was Blue Waters…

Designed from the beginning as a party palace, the house was a hub of Perth society in the 50s and 60s, and following a careful five year restoration guided by the original owners and designers, it is now possible to experience the life of a stylish 1950s tycoon, one week at a time, living in Blue Waters and celebrating special occasions there.  Whether for a very special dinner party for eight, or a memorable event for your two hundred and fifty closest friends, Blue Waters provides a superb setting and sense of occasion.  For the Nova FM Ultimate House Party, Blue Waters was “the perfect venue” – enjoy the video here

If you would like to host the future of Blue Waters, expressions of interest are invited.

The story of Blue Waters is a story of love, and war, and great dedication to a dream.

It began before the Second World War, when a young Mabel , and her then boyfriend Keith Perron, were inspired by the illustration of a striking Florida art deco house design in “Pix” Magazine. MORE
